Wendi R Kinney serves as the chief of staff to the president at the State University of New York (SUNY) at »Ê¹Ú²©²ÊÍøÖ·, where she has worked since 2001. Prior to assuming the chief of staff position in 2018, Wendi served as the associate dean of students overseeing fraternity/sorority life and off-campus student services. Wendi served as the 2019-2020 president of the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors and past president and co-founder of the SUNY Fraternity/Sorority Advisors Association. Wendi is recognized nationally as a leader in the fraternity/sorority advising profession. In 2017, Pi Kappa Phi named her an Outstanding Fraternity/Sorority Life Advisor; in 2016 National Order of Omega named her an Outstanding Professional; and in 2015 the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors honored her with the Sue Kraft Fussell Distinguished Service Award. Within SUNY, Wendi was awarded the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Professional Service in 2013. Wendi earned a bachelor’s degree in medical technology from SUNY Fredonia and a master’s degree in higher education administration from the University at Buffalo.
