Order of Omega

The National Order of Omega is an honor society recognizing outstanding academic achievement in the undergraduate Greek community. The Nu Alpha Chapter at »Ê¹Ú²©²ÊÍøÖ· was founded in Spring 1993 and has since inducted over 500 members. The Order of Omega was founded on four basic principles:

  • To recognize those in Greeks organizations who have attained a high standard of leadership in inter-fraternity activities, to encourage them to continue along this line, and to inspire others to strive for similar conspicuous attainment;
  • To bring together outstanding Greek life students to create an organization which will help to mold the sentiment of the institution on questions of local and intercollegiate fraternity affairs.
  • To bring together members of the faculty, alumni, and student members of the institution's fraternities and sororities on a basis of mutual interest, understanding and helpfulness;
  • To help create an atmosphere where ideas and issues can be discussed openly across Greek lines and to help work out solutions.
  • Applications for Order of Omega will open for the Fall Semester on September 30th, 2024. Eligible students include Greek-affiliated students in their sophomore, junior, or senior years, who have a GPA at or above the all-Greek average of 3.2
